Gordon Curry
Gordon Curry is a proven communications professional whose corporate experience spans diverse industries that include food manufacturing, retail sales, consumer electronics, health care, technology products and IT services industries – along with one of the world’s most recognized nonprofit, leadership organizations.
His versatility is reflected throughout a wide variety of work – news stories, corporate messaging, Web content and executive communications – for well-known and respected brands such as Hewlett-Packard, EDS, JCPenney, RadioShack, Imperial Sugar and the Boy Scouts of America.
Over a 25-plus-year career, Gordon has created executive communications for six chairmen and CEOs – as well as dozens of other senior executives of FORTUNE 500 companies. Always a student of the business, Gordon’s pragmatic approach to his work aligns whatever communications he is creating with an organization’s goals and desired outcomes.
Using his ever-evolving business insight and communications expertise, Gordon has crafted hundreds of high-profile assignments. A sought-after writer, Gordon has produced entire scripting for annual global sales conferences attended by thousands of sales professionals. He has written keynote speeches for chief executives who spoke at the Chief Executives’ Club of Boston, Detroit Economic Club, Executives’ Club of Chicago and the Davos World Economic Forum.
For internal communications, Gordon served as the U.S. lead in developing an award-winning storytelling program, which ultimately engaged 118,000 employees worldwide. He also proved instrumental in crafting change-of-control communications around the largest acquisition in the IT services industry – Hewlett-Packard’s purchase of EDS, where Gordon worked at the time. He later developed executive communications as thousands of employees were transitioned to new HP ownership.
Today, his work is seen on the Imperial Sugar Company (ISC) website, which is regarded as a “source site” for sugar industry news. Gordon contributes weekly news features, executive profiles and employee stories as the company reshapes the face of this global industry – with new worker safety measures and industry-defining, manufacturing innovations.
Eddie Reeves
Eddie Reeves brings 25 years of success as a communications strategist, marketer and organizational development advisor to News Group Net. His focus is on helping News Group Net clients define, develop and deploy sophisticated communications strategies to help drive their success.
Recently, Eddie co-led the media relations practice of Public Strategies, Inc., serving as an advisor and senior strategist to major international firms. At Public Strategies, Inc he also led the in-house team for communications, marketing and public relations at Perot Systems, working closely with Chairman Emeritus Ross Perot and Chairman Ross Perot, Jr.
Eddie also advised Fortune 100 company executives such as AT&T CEO Ed Whitacre, former Merrill Lynch CEO Stan O’Neal and KPMG CEO Timothy Flynn.
Before his work at Public Strategies, Eddie served as press secretary and senior legislative assistant to the late U.S. Congressman J.J. ”Jake” Pickle of Texas. As the congressman’s point person on health care, environmental affairs, labor and financial services, he managed favorable coverage from NBC’s Dateline, ABC’s World News Tonight, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. The relationships Eddie secured with major media outlets remains, and he is regularly relied upon by national media as a trusted news source.
Earlier in his career, Eddie served as Press Secretary and speech writer for Houston Mayor Kathy Whitmire, and as an award-winning columnist for the Austin American-Statesman.
Despite the demands of his professional life, Eddie finds time for many community and civic activities. Married since 1991, Eddie and his wife Diane live in Dallas where they continue to fight the futile battle to keep up with two rambunctious young boys, Ryan and Roland.
